Terms and Conditions for Participating Restaurants
Virginia Beach Restaurant Association (“VBRA”)
By agreeing to participate in the Celebrity Servers Event (“Event”), your restaurant (“Participating Restaurant”) agrees to the following terms and conditions:
Event Overview
The Celebrity Servers Event is a week-long community initiative taking place in Virginia Beach, VA, from April 7-10, 2025. The Event brings together local restaurants and notable Celebrity Servers—such as influencers, community leaders, and media personalities—to raise funds for pre-selected 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
Who: Virginia Beach Restaurant Association member restaurants and invited Celebrity Servers
What: A fundraising event with Celebrity Servers collecting tips for charity
When: April 7-10, 2025, during designated shifts
Where: Participating restaurants across Virginia Beach
Why: To support local nonprofits and create a sense of community
Eligibility and Participation
Restaurants must be in Virginia Beach, VA, a member of the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association and approved by the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association (“VBRA”).
Participating Restaurants agree to host Celebrity Servers during the agreed-upon time slots and dates, as determined in collaboration with VBRA.
Participation is voluntary and may be revoked by either party with prior written notice.
Responsibilities of Participating Restaurants
Operational Support:
Provide a safe, clean, and operational environment for the Celebrity Servers to perform their duties.
Assign staff members to assist Celebrity Servers as needed (e.g., training, guidance on serving processes).
Marketing and Promotion:
Promote the Event on social media, websites, and/or in-restaurant displays using materials provided by VBRA.
Allow VBRA to use the restaurant’s name and logo in Event-related promotions.
Collection and Allocation of Donations:
Primary: Celebrity Servers will collect donations for their designated charity using QR codes. Donations will be sent directly to the designated charity.
Secondary: If applicable, ensure that all cash donations collected by Celebrity Servers during their shifts are designated for the selected nonprofit organization(s).
Collaborate with VBRA to securely transfer collected cash donations within 48 hours of the event’s conclusion.
Scheduling:
Work with VBRA to schedule appropriate time slots for Celebrity Servers.
Provide advance notice of any scheduling conflicts or changes.
Liability and Indemnification
Participating Restaurants agree to hold VBRA, Celebrity Servers, and nonprofits harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the Event.
VBRA is not responsible for any accidents, property damage, or customer disputes that may occur during the Event.
Restaurants must maintain their own liability insurance and adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations.
Code of Conduct
Restaurants must create a welcoming and respectful environment for Celebrity Servers, customers, and staff.
Participating Restaurants must not engage in discriminatory, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate behavior during the Event.
Media and Publicity
By participating, restaurants grant VBRA and Celebrity Server permission to use their name, logo, and images of their location for Event promotions.
Restaurants may also share their own content from the Event but must credit Celebrity Server, the Event and VBRA appropriately.
Termination of Participation
Either party may terminate participation in the Event with written notice, provided it does not disrupt the scheduled Celebrity Server shifts.
VBRA reserves the right to disqualify a restaurant from participation for violations of these terms and conditions.
Agreement to Terms
By participating in the Celebrity Servers Event, the Participating Restaurant acknowledges that it has read, understood, and agrees to these terms and conditions.

Virginia Beach Restaurant Association (“VBRA”)
By participating in the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association’s Celebrity Server Program (“Program”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility
Participants: Must be at least 18 years old and have prior authorization or invitation from the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association.
Venues: Only approved venues are eligible to host the Program.
VBRA reserves the right to deny participation to any individual or venue at its discretion.
Responsibilities of Celebrity Servers
Serve customers during the designated time slot as instructed by the hosting organization or venue staff.
Abide by all local health and safety regulations while interacting with customers.
Behave in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Avoid promoting personal, political, or controversial agendas during the event.
Allocation of Donations
All donations collected by Celebrity Server during the event will be designated for a pre-selected nonprofit organization that qualifies as a 501(c)(3).
Participants are prohibited from retaining any portion of the donations for personal use.
Servers will collect donations for their designated charity using QR codes. Donations will be sent directly to the designated charity.
If applicable, ensure that all cash donations collected by Celebrity Servers during their shifts are designated for the selected nonprofit organization(s).
Liability
Celebrity Servers participate at their own risk and agree to hold harmless the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association, hosting restaurant, and any affiliated parties from liability for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during participation.
VBRA is not responsible for any disputes arising between the Celebrity Server and customers or venue staff.
Publicity and Media Rights
Participants agree that their image, name, and likeness may be used by VBRA and hosting restaurant for promotional purposes related to the Program without additional compensation.
All media captured during the event becomes the property of the hosting organization and Virginia Beach Restaurant Association.
Gifts and Donations
Donations collected during the event are intended exclusively for the designated nonprofit and must be submitted to the hosting restaurant for proper handling.
Celebrity Servers are prohibited from personally accepting gifts or compensation unless expressly authorized.
Cancellations and Modifications
VBRA or hosting restaurant reserves the right to cancel or modify the Program at any time without prior notice.
Participants will be notified promptly of any changes or cancellations.
Code of Conduct
All participants must adhere to the following standards of behavior:
Treat all individuals with respect and kindness.
Avoid any actions or language that could be interpreted as discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate.
Comply with all instructions from restaurant staff and VBRA representatives.
Termination of Participation
VBRA reserves the right to terminate a participant’s involvement in the Program at any time for violating these terms and conditions or engaging in behavior deemed unacceptable.
Agreement
By participating in the Celebrity Server Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
